The Reports tab in the EFFECTS user interface provides a comprehensive listing of input and result parameters generated while running the calculation. This tab is essential for users who need detailed documentation of their project data.
Features of the Reports tab
Full HTML Document
The report view is formatted as a complete HTML document, making it easy to copy and integrate into your local office applications. This ensures that you can seamlessly transfer and utilise the data for presentations, reports, or further analysis.
Print and Print preview
The internal HTML viewer supports both print and print preview functionalities. This feature allows you to directly print the report from the interface or preview it before printing to ensure that everything is correctly formatted.
Contour dimensions
In the context of the EFFECTS model, contour dimensions are crucial for understanding the spatial distribution of various phenomena. These dimensions include:
Maximum distance: Distance from the release point to the furthest extent of the contour.
Minimum distance (Offset): Distance from the release point to the closest distance from the source to the contour. An offset can be negative if there is an upwind effect, or the contour dimensions belong to events such as a pool fire or an explosion (where the release takes place at the centre of the process equipment).
Maximum width: The widest part of the contour.
Distance to maximum width: Distance from the source to the point where the contour reaches its maximum width.
Using the Reports tab
By providing a detailed, organised, and easily accessible record of all input and result parameters, the Reports tab enhances your ability to review and share model outcomes. Whether you are conducting an internal review, preparing for a presentation, or compiling data for a report, the features of the Reports tab ensure that you have all the information you need at your fingertips.
Explore the Reports tab to fully leverage the comprehensive documentation capabilities of the EFFECTS user interface.
