In RISKCURVES, the “Equipment” node is crucial for defining specific locations or routes where risk scenarios are analysed.
Two types of equipment
Definition: Refers to fixed locations within a facility where analysis is conducted.
Usage: Suitable for scenarios involving equipment that does not move, such as storage tanks, reactor vessels, heat exchangers, or other fixed installations.
Definition: Refers to routes along which hazardous materials are transported.
Usage: Ideal for scenarios involving the movement of substances via pipelines, roadways, railways, or shipping routes.
Key points
Expandable Nodes: Both Stationary and Transport Equipment nodes can be expanded to include detailed information and specific parameters relevant to the analysis.
Placeholders: These nodes act as placeholders or grouping nodes, organizing the various pieces of equipment or routes being analyzed within the project.
Lists of coordinates or routes
Stationary equioment: Represents lists of specific coordinates where stationary scenarios are analyzed.
Transport Equipment: Represents specific routes where transport scenarios are analyzed, allowing for a detailed assessment of risks along these paths.
This structure ensures clear organization and easy reference for different analysis points, facilitating comprehensive and accurate risk assessments.
