Cloud licence

A cloud licence is hosted by Gexcon, and a permanent internet connection is needed to connect to our server. The number of “concurrent users” associated with a cloud licence determines how many times a licenced product can be used simultaneously.

To connect each client computer to the cloud license server via the Admin Control Center, the next steps can be followed.

  • Install the EFFECTS/RISKCURVES setup on the client machine. This will also install the licence manager runtime. The configuration of the licence per user can be done through the Admin Control Center.

  • Login directly on the client's computer.

  • Then, go to the Admin Control Center (http://localhost:1947).

  • In the Configuration page select the ‘‘Access to Remote License Managers’’ tab.

  • Enable “Allow Access to Remote Licenses” and ‘‘Broadcast Search for Remote Licenses’’.

  • In the ‘‘Remote License Search Parameters’’ enter the cloud identity.

  • Click on <Submit>.
