Accessing default parameters

The default parameters can be accessed through Edit > Options. Default parameters can be set for “Expert parameters”, “Environment set”, “Display units” and “Presentation settings”.

For instance, the environment defaults set allows the definition of a series of default environmental conditions such as ambient temperature, relative humidity or solar heat radiation flux. Different environment default sets can be created for different regions using their corresponding average environmental conditions.

  • Click <Edit> in the Menu bar.

  • Select <Options> from the dropdown menu.

  • In the top right corner of the "Options" window, you will find a dropdown list with “Exper parameters”.

  • Open the “Expert parameters” set using the button “…”.

  • Change the relevant parameter from this list.

  • Save your new default expert parameters set using a relevant name.

  • Go back to the model and select “Defaults”.

  • Your new default expert parameters will be used.

A right-click on a parameter’s name and selecting <Help> from the pop-up menu redirects to an additional description of a parameter in a ‘‘Help file’’ record.
