Linking and unlinking

In EFFECTS, models can be linked to each other to share results or ensure consistency in input parameters. This guide will explain how to link and unlink models, providing step-by-step instructions for efficient model management.

Linking models 

1. Pasting a model

   • To create a link version of a model, simply paste it on top of another existing model.

   • The newly pasted model will appear as a linked version, indicated by its blue colour.

2. Linking parameters

   • After linking models, all linked parameters will be displayed with blue descriptions.

   • Non-linked parameters will remain black.

   • To link a parameter, right-click on its description and select the "Link" option from the pop-up menu.

Unlinking models

• To unlink models, right-click on the linked model you want to unlink.

• From the context menu, select the "Unlink" option.

• This action will revert the model to its original state, removing the link to other models.
