Command buttons

In EFFECTS, the command buttons located at the bottom left of the window provide quick access to basic actions for managing the model input screen. These buttons enhance the efficiency of model setup and calculations.

Clear

• Function: Clears all input fields on the current screen.

• Usage: Use this button to reset the input screen, making all fields empty. This is useful when you need to start from scratch or remove all existing inputs.

Default

• Function: Fills in default data for any input fields that have been left blank.

• Usage: Use this button to automatically populate blank fields with default values. This helps ensure that no necessary input is overlooked and can serve as a starting point for further adjustments.

Calculate

• Function: Performs all model calculations for the models within the current project once all parameters have been defined.

• Usage: After entering all required inputs, click this button to run the calculations. This generates the results based on the provided data and is a crucial step in the modelling process.

By effectively using these command buttons, you can streamline the setup and calculation process in EFFECTS, ensuring accurate and comprehensive safety analyses.

RECalculate

• Function: Forces the recalculation of the whole project.

• Usage: After entering all required inputs, click on Alt + Calculate (which will show as RECalculate) to force the recalculation of all models in the project file.
